College Search by Personality type: INTP

•Likes making decisions on the basis of logic, using objective considerations

•Of course you will want to know the rankings, but you should examine the factors considered;

•You should be able to provide a list of plus and minuses for each college on their list;

•Check out College Outcomes on their Career section of their websites or at UCANN.

•Likes to look at Thru-puts (How the college works);

  1. Opinions of friends, parents and counselors will not hold as strong a sway unless presented objectively;

  2. Tend to be black and white. This will be a good or bad college…rarely in between.

You will be organized and practical in your college search, carefully laying out a plan of attack and analyzing the facts of each college. When exploring college options, an INTP will often:

•Explore Colleges that creatively meet their need;

•Need to narrow the list of potential colleges to avoid becoming overwhelmed with their options;
